VLDB 2024: Information for Research and Industry Paper Presenters
VLDB 2024 runs as an on-site event, and each session is in-person only.
- Please check the website for the conference program, and https://vldb.org/2024/?program-schedule for the list of papers in each session (indexed by the room number).
- Each research and industrial paper has 12 minutes for presentation and 3 minutes for Q&A.
- Please upload your slides at the respective google drive folder at least ** two days ** before your presentation, so that we can check and make it available to the laptop of the session room. The link is: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1aKOgWJ66Dm9AXqtaafL8GnaXRwl1h5OT?usp=sharing
- In addition to the presentation, authors of the accepted papers are required to give a poster presentation. Please prepare an A0 size poster. The poster time of a paper is on the same day of the presentation. Please see https://vldb.org/2024/?info-poster-presenters for details.
In-Person Presenter
Each room has a lectern and a microphone for the speakers, and VLDB 2024 will provide a dedicated presentation laptop onto which each presentation will be uploaded. This presentation laptop runs Windows and supports both Powerpoint and PDF. (*) Please note that on the presentation laptops in the conference venue, you will see the presenter view for PPTX, while PDF slidesĀ are only displayed on the projected screen - as this is not ideal, PPTX format is strongly suggested.
Please take the time and come to your session during the coffee break to meet your session chair who may provide you with additional instructions.
Network access for in-person presenters
Shared WiFi is available in all rooms. Its bandwidth may fluctuate depending on the number of people using it. Do not depend on the WiFi to stream video or run a demo from a remote server - rather embed everything into your uploaded slide deck, and avoid using the WiFi during your presentation.
