Call for Panels

Call for Panels

The 40th International Conference on Very Large Databases (VLDB 2014) invites proposals for panel sessions on all aspects of data management. We encourage submissions on potentially controversial issues on any topic related to data management.

VLDB is a premier annual international forum for data management and database researchers, vendors, practitioners, application developers, and users. This year's conference will be held in Hangzhou, China from September 1-5, 2014.

The panel proposal should include the title of the panel, a short statement on its importance and the potential issues of controversy, a tentative list of questions that will be posed to the panelists, a potential list of panelists along with their affiliations, and a short bio of each panelist.

Panel proposals should be e-mailed to one of the panel co-chairs on or before March 17, 2014. The authors will be notified of the decision by April 17, 2014.

Short panel summaries will appear in the VLDB conference proceedings.

Panel Co-Chairs:
